Ich liebe dieses Buch! Es ist der zweite Teil der Sommerlicht-Reihe. Ich habe es sowohl auf englisch als auch auf deutsch. Irial ist meine Lieblingsperson.Es geht um Leslie, die durch ein Tatoo mit Irial, dem König der Finsternis verbunden wird. Niall wurde von der neuen Sommerkönigin Ash beauftragt auf Leslie auf zupassen und sie zu beschützen. Doch seine gemeinsame Vergangenheit mit Irial bereitet im Probleme. Leslie rutscht immer weiter in eine Welt voller Gewalt. Kann Niall, für den sie insgeheim schon lange schwärmt, sie retten? Oder bleibt sie bei Irial, dem verführerischen Elfenkönig, für den sie schon bald Gefühle entwickelt?Das Buch ist toll, super, cool, geil, ... Mir fallen keine Worte mehr ein. Verdiente fünf Sterne!

Habe das Buch auf deutsch schon bestimmt vier mal durchgelesen und habe es mir jetzt auf englisch gekauft. Bin immer noch begeistert!

Nach der Lektüre von "Wicked lovely" habe ich mir dieses Buch bestellt und war bitter enttäuscht. Die Story ist eher langweilig und mir zu mädchenhaft geschrieben. Das Buch ist wohl eher was für Teenager. Auch die Irrungen und Wirrungen der Elfenpolitik sind zu verworren um spannend zu sein. Schade!

Ink Exchange is the second instalment in the 'Wicked Lovely' series and unfortunately can't hold the quality writing of the first book. I found it hard to even finish reading it. Which is a shame cause I really liked the darker and no happily ever after of this book. 'Ink Exchange' is as close to reality as a book about faeries will probably ever be.Leslie, the protagonist of 'Ink Exchange' is a friend of Aislinn's, the new summer queen. And Leslie is more of a dark character because of everything that happened to her before she even met the faeries or got to know about their existence. The first half of the book is great. Melissa Marr takes her time to introduce us to the character of Leslie and Irial, who is the king of the Dark Court. I found it easy to like Leslie and feel for her. The world building is well done, the description of the faeries and the whole atmosphere is great.The second half of the book looses quality. Everything seems rushed and the developing love triangle more than a bit forced. On top of it Melissa Marr leaves the reader wondering. Surely this can't be the ending of Leslie's story. Unfortunately - because the second half of the book wasn't really a page turner - I'm not sure if I want to buy the next instalment of the series to see if there is more about Leslie.I give the book three stars because of the well done world building and the first 180 or so pages.

Auch auf die Gefahr hin, mich bei Fans der Serie unbeliebt zu machen:Ich habe dieses Buch gestern zu Ende gelesen und habe dafür mehrere Monate gebraucht, weil mir nach wenigen Seiten immer die Augen zugefallen sind. Ich kann mich nicht erinnern, jemals etwas langweiligeres gelesen zu haben.Schon in Band eins ist, außer am Schluss, relativ wenig passiert. Hätte ich Band 2 und 3 nicht im Paket mit Band 1 gekauft, hätte ich gar nicht weiter gelesen. Aber da Band 2 nunmal schon da war, habe ich es mir eben angetan.In diesem Teil geht es nur noch am Rande um Ash, Seth und Keenan, dafür hauptsächlich um Leslie, Niall und Irial. Seitenweise wird sich gegenseitig beobachtet, über Tatoos nachgedacht und sich Gedanken über alles mögliche gemacht, ohne dass tatsächlich mal etwas passieren würde. Hinzu kommen die in meinen Augen wirren Beziehungen der unterschiedlichen Feen-Höfe und -Gattungen untereinander, die für mich mit dem Wissen, das man aus den Büchern bisher hat, kaum nachzuvollziehen sind.Nachdem in Band eins ja wenigstens gegen Ende mal noch ein bisschen Schwung in die Geschichte kam, saß ich gestern nach dem Lesen der letzten Seite da und dachte, da müsse irgendwie noch was kommen. Nicht nur, dass die Geschichte überhaupt nicht abgeschlossen ist, sondern es passiert schlichtweg nichts interessantes im kompletten Buch. Den Inhalt hätte man genauso gut auf 30 Seiten zusammenfassen können.Ich denke, den dritten Band werde ich ungelesen weiter verkaufen.18.Oktober 2013:PS: Habe mich im Urlaub nun doch entschieden, den dritten Band noch zu lesen. Er ist wesentlich besser als Band zwei. Wer sich also wie ich durch dieses Buch hier durchgequält hat, kann doch etwas zuversichtlicher an die Fortsetzung rangehen.
