Brilliant Story, sadly they cut corners in print.Alan Moore is a brilliant writer and the way the panels are arranged and how the artist drew everything helps to establish the uneasiness one feels while reading this. The expressions on the characters are always very clear and show the terror, hope, love, everything they are feeling very well.However I am sad that they cut corners when it comes to the print version. It is printed on cheap newspaper. Not worthy of a trade and I wouldn't have payed the price if I had known that. All the other trades I bought for this price were printed on much better paper.
Der Comic und die Story sind klassiker - Alan Moore enttäuscht definitiv nicht. Das Künstlerische sowie das Storytelling bekommen 5 Sterne.Was hingegen sehr enttäuscht ist der Print dieser Ausgabe: absolut billiges Löschpapier (wie bei den alten Lustigen Taschenbüchern von Disney), nicht wie es sonst üblich ist ein versiegeltes papier das leicht glänzt. Die Farben sind dementsprechend: wenn Flächen schwarz ausgefüllt sind (was bei dem comic recht häufig vorkommt) dann sieht das aus als hätte ein schlechter kopierer eine Seite schwarz einfärben wollen - man erkennt deutlich die scan/drucklinien und es hat helle stellen und streifen. Dafür muss ich 0 punkte geben, das ist leider bodenlos und raubt tatsächlich etwas den genuss der Lektüre.

Since then the movie - gleefully hated by Moore - has made the Guy Fywkes-masques a symbol for resistance against the establishment all over the world.The fight of the iconic figure against the somewhat banal evil of a fascist regime in England after a catastrophic WW III is not only presented in the somewhat - even for the 80s - dated story-telling style of Moore but also in the representation of V in contrast to the other actors in this story. He is always larger than life - and he has to be - while they always seem quite small. Except when they start to break free.Certainly a piece of work that will stand the tests of publishing time and will be read for some time in the future. I personally reduct one star for the narrative style and for the workmanship, because the paper looks hardly 80s-quality and that is perhaps authentic, but it isn't really nice.

Nur im Original werden die Dialekte der Charaktere korrekt wiedergegeben und nur im Original sind die Dia- und Monologe so kraftvoll.Ich bin kein Fan von Mangas und dieses neumodischen Pseudo-Mangastils a la Kim Possible. "V for Vendetta" ist in seiner Farbgebung düster und in der Darstellung realistisch und zurückhaltend.Beim Lesen des Comics fielen mir die Paralleln zu unserer gegenwärtigen gesellschaftlichen Lage auf. Wir treiben auf einen - weniger totalitären - aber dennoch beängstigenden Überwachungsstaat zu, der die Rechte seiner Bürger beschneidet und der herrschenden, wohlhabenden Klasse eine ungerechte Macht an die Hand gibt."V for Vendetta" füttert die revolutionären Tendenzen in jungen Menschen und wird wahrscheinlich gleich nach Orwell verboten, sobald erst einmal neue Termine für Bücherverbrennungen angesetzt sind ;-)Der Comic ist ziemlich anspruchsvoll' für einen Comic. Man sollte schon mal von Goethe und Shakespeare gehört haben, sonst macht das Buch nicht halb soviel Spaß.
Dieses Buch ist ein "Graphic Novel" und kein "Comic", denn es hat die Wucht eines Romans. Es liest sich auch nicht schnell wie ein "Comic", sondern es muss verdaut werden. Am besten man liest es zweimal. Im Mittelpunkt dieses Klassikers, der in den frühen 80er Jahren in England entstand und in einem fiktionalen faschistischen England der 90er Jahre spielt, stehen V und Evey. Beide können als Ikonen eines bestimmten Typus von "Helden" gelten.Der mysteriöse V, einstiges Opfer von Menschenversuchen, ist ein genialer Anarchist, der die gegenwärtige Herrschaft in Schutt legen will, damit darauf eine neue Gesellschaft gebaut werden kann. Er trägt stets die Maske, die die Internetrebellengruppe Anonymous passenderweise als ihr Symbol angenommen hat. Er ist der Held, der die Grenzen zwischen Gut und Böse auflöst; der Terrorist, dem man doch mit Sympathie begegnet.Die junge Evey ist sozusagen die (Groß-)Mutter von Katniss ("The Hunger Games") und anderen Jung-Heroinen (z.B. Tris in "Divergent"). Sie wird von V vor den Fängen der Polizei gerettet und gerät in den Trubel der Ereignisse und V's Pläne hinein. Am Ende wird sie es sein, die V's Werk vollendet.Spannend ist die Entwicklung der beiden Hauptfiguren. Intellektuelle Auseinandersetzung, das Verhältnis von Lehrer zu Schülerin, und die Ahnung von Liebe sind die Elemente dieses Dramas im Drama.Markant sind die weiteren Rollen, so die Proponenten des "Eye" (= Überwachungsbehörde), des "Ear" (= Abhördienst), des "Finger" (= Polizei) und des "Head" (= deer Führer), bunt so manche Nebenfiguren.Neben dem Text, dem für mich die tragende Rolle zukommt, hinterlassen die fast durchwegs dunklen Bilder einen starken Eindruck. Schade, dass die Grafik oft so düster ist, dass es schwer ist Einzelheiten oder bisweilen Personen zu erkennen. Ich kann nicht beurteilen, ob das an dieser Ausgabe liegt oder ob (wahrscheinlich) die Bildgestaltung auch im Original bewusst so gehalten ist. In jedem Fall ist das grafische Element für den Roman ungeheuer wichtig."V for Vendetta" ist brandaktuell in Zeiten der Herrschaft der Finanzindustrie, der wir genauso ohnmächtig ausgeliefert sind wie die Engländer ihrer totalitären Regierung.
